This city bakery and cafe has quickly become a popular Melbourne establishment. Just the other week, a few of our readers hurriedly messaged us to tell us that we just had to try this place and explore their baked goods.
Brenton Lang, the founder and head baker of Rustica Sourdough, has had several years of experience in the baking industry. His passion for traditional and slow baking methods is evident in the variety of fresh bread available. The long glass cabinet filled with colourful choux, enticing flavours of cronuts, Ispahan croissants and more will leave you starry eyed and filled with wonderment.
Rustica Sourdough first opened in Fitzroy in 2011, with the new Rustica Canteen following shortly after in the CBD just this year to be able to cater to Melbourne city's workers and dwellers. Tucked into Guildford lane and amongst the sparse red brick wall, you’ll find a little white sign with Rustica’s name on it. No need to look further, these guys have got what you knead.
