Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, boysenberries - we just love berries and this tart is packed with fresh boysenberries sitting on top of a crunchy pistachio crumble and filled with a smooth and delectable crème pâtissière. When you can see flecks of vanilla bean throughout, it is ALWAYS worth it.
So what IS a morning bun exactly? The morning bun has been a somewhat recent invention in the world of pastry and we like to think of it as part cinnamon bun, part croissant. Tivoli's buns come piped with some creamy vanilla crème pâtissière and are the perfect morning snack to accompany with a warm cup of coffee.
One of Tivoli's popular items: the lemon curd donut. Wonderfully soft donuts piped with fresh lemon curd and dusted with sugar. These are far from the only donut varieties available at Tivoli so don't be surprised to see some other little numbers that may cause mass indecision in store!

FLOUR MARKET - SPRING BAKE
There is just something so special about this city and the way it can showcase the wonderful things that Melburnians do. Food has become such an integral part of this city’s culture and it’s great to be able to sample so many different tasty treats in one spot.
On Sunday the 6th September (Fathers Day!), bakers and pâtissiers showcased their talents with a gorgeous spread of their creations at Collingwood Town Hall for all to try. We snagged ourselves some early riser tickets and after missing a train, attempting to get an uber then giving up and then ultimately making the drive ourselves, we managed to arrive at 8:30am to see what Melbourne’s spring bakers had on show. There was already a humungo queue of super excited, doe-eyed baked good lovers waiting for the doors to open. The atmosphere was buzzing and everyone was in for a treat (literally).
Upon entry, senses rapidly went into overdrive: the smells, the sights, them feels. There were croissants of all sorts from Chez Dré and Agathé Pâtisserie, donuts from Cobb Lane as well as cute cupcakes and creative twists on breads and cakes from Nana Kath’s and Beatrix.
As we moved through each stall, we noticed up and coming Linh Dang’s beautiful spread of colourful tarts and desserts. One in particular that caught our eye was the “Fruit Tingles” a layered tube with passionfruit curd, vanilla cream and crumble, raspberry jam and freeze dried raspberry meringues. If that wasn’t enough, she included sour passionfruit pipettes that you could squeeze to adjust the sourness of the dessert. Clever!
We can't wait to see what the next flour market has in store. Flour to the people!
